This seminar builds on the results from a workshop for BIOPATH researchers in September 2024, and the BIOPATH report IPBES´framing of the values of Nature by Marie Stenseke
*IPBES, the Intergovernmental science-policy platform on biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Welcome to a seminar for BIOPATH partners led by Marie Stenseke and Johanna Alkan Olsson.
Several of the multiple values of Biodiversity may be linked to high risks from an industry and financial perspective. How to include them in Biodiversity disclosures is therefore essential. The aim of the seminar is to present and discuss how to consider the multiple values of biodiversity, with a certain focus on values that are difficult or impossible to measure, following the Global Biodiversity Framework, and IPBES.
Key issues for the seminar:
- How to capture the multiple ways in which humans see and value biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people/ecosystem services?
- How to bridge between different valuation methods, including between quantitative and qualitative measures?
